What's New?
LATEST UPDATE
Patch 2.2
Built from your ideas: dozens of things players asked for, from camping trips and pet litters to teen crushes, great-grandkids and skipping ahead years at a time.
Witching Hour
- Teen witches can join an old witch's after-school class: lessons on a new Magic tile, an exam every spring and, at graduation, one of her spells and a seat in her coven.
- Zombies come to Witching Hour: rush a Resurrection at half the Power and your loved one comes back a gentle zombie, tireless but falling apart a little each season, until the full spell makes them whole. A new life can start as one too.
- The Crooked Market has a Creatures stall: buy a dragon egg, a unicorn foal or a phoenix chick, name it and raise it like any pet. A dragon outlives you and passes down as the family dragon, and a phoenix comes back once, as a chick.
- Demon blood runs in some families now: start with the Demon Bloodline backstory or have kids with a demon. The horns come in at 13 with a Demon page and a Temptation skill, and every season brings an itch for mischief.
- Own two packs? New stories turn up for lives that mix them: a famous crook, a vampire in a gang, a witch in grad school and a famous witch.
Your Room
- Your Room has a new Quiet corner style for teens and grown-ups, free for everyone: a little altar, a candle cluster, a carved dove, an offering bowl and a sitting mat. From 13, a new Light a candle tile beside Meditate brings a quiet moment, and after a loss, a candle lit for that person by name.
God Mode
- Set anyone's traits from their God Mode page with the same picker as your own, see a partner's traits you haven't learned yet, and check how close your habits are to earning a new trait.
- With Life of Crime, God Mode's Simulation page adds two switches: Never get caught, so no crime ends in an arrest and every prison escape gets away, and Crimes always work, so heists, scams and murders go to plan. Anyone you've protected still can't be killed.
- God Mode can make someone pregnant: Make pregnant on your own page, your partner's or a lover's starts a pregnancy when you save, and anyone expecting gets a Babies row for one to four babies. When it can't happen, the row says why.
- God Mode's person editor has a die beside First name and Surname that rolls a new name for you or anyone else.
- Face changes you make to a family member in God Mode now show and save, even right after a new gender or age.
Life of Crime
- Life of Crime adds two new traits. Cold-Blooded crooks pull off more crimes but juries acquit them less often, and Squeamish ones are the reverse. Commit crimes in six different seasons to become Cold-Blooded, or back out of two to become Squeamish.
- In Life of Crime, every murder now starts with a plan: wear a mask, plan a cleanup or bring a backup, and your Crime skill finally changes the odds. Grown-ups can also Find a stranger, and three clean getaways earn a nickname in the papers you can keep, swap or write yourself. Then a detective starts watching.
Family
- Expecting? Family Planning now opens on Your Pregnancy, and the pregnancy icon on Life takes you there: the trimester and due season, an Ultrasound that shows how many babies and whether they're boys or girls, Shop for the baby, Talk about names and a Baby shower.
- From the third trimester, a Birth Plan lets you choose a natural birth or a planned C-section. A booked C-section comes on its day instead of labor, costs $3,000 and leaves you a little sore, but never turns into an emergency.
- A pregnancy stays a surprise until it's told: your partner shares the news in her second trimester, and Try for a baby greys out with "Not right now" until the baby arrives instead of disappearing.
- From 18, the Hospital offers Terminate pregnancy once you know you're expecting.
- When a relative, friend or partner is in the hospital or has just had a baby, their page has Visit in the hospital: bring flowers, and they'll remember it. Once someone tells you a baby is on the way, Talk about the baby joins it.
- When your parents split up while you're a kid, a judge decides who you live with. From 12 you tell the judge yourself or let the judge decide, and the other parent gets every other weekend.
- Families look related: babies get their parents' nose, mouth and eyes again, brothers and sisters share most of their features and coloring, grandparents pass a feature down, and aunts, uncles and in-laws look like the family they join.
- Group activities name your family by how they're related, so Sebastian becomes "your dad, Sebastian," while friends keep just their names.
- With Dreams & Degrees, private school lasts until you graduate: the School page and Life show your school's name, a family that can't pay another fall lets you ask a grandparent, apply for a scholarship or switch, and Switch to public school leaves whenever you like.
- A partner you're close to can now propose to you from 18: never in your first year together, then more and more often, about one season in four once you've been together two years.
- A relative's, partner's or friend's page has Give a gift: money in any amount up to your cash, a piece of your collection, a car, or a home nobody lives in. It adds to what they're worth, and the bigger the gift next to what they have, the closer you get.
Fixes
- College now has a Change major tile for your first two years: switching is free in your first year and means graduating a year later in your second. Graduates can apply to college again for a second bachelor's in a new major, starting as a junior.
- Nursing joins the free job board: start as a Hospital Aide with no degree, go to college to become a Registered Nurse, and rise to Chief Nursing Officer. Doctors stay in Dreams & Degrees.
- With Dreams & Degrees, Historian joins the job board as a third Writing career: start as a Tour Guide with a college degree, rise to Renowned Historian, and dig through an archive that keeps turning up your own family.
- Fame & Fortune athletes can now pick volleyball, gymnastics, boxing or wrestling, and a Starter can make the national team for the Games every fourth summer and bring home a medal. Kids can sign up for gymnastics, and playing a sport for fun no longer changes a pro's sport.
- Around Town neighbor feuds now outlive you: die with one unsettled and your heir inherits a feud with that whole family, with a rival their own age two doors down and stories of their own, until a handshake over the fence or a wedding ends it.
- Holidays now go by their real names, like Christmas for Winterfest and Easter for the Flower Festival. Settings › Display › Holiday names brings back the classic Everlife name for any holiday, or lets you type your own.
- A new Go camping tile, spring to fall: a free backyard campout, a lakeside campground, a backcountry trail for grown-ups or a guided cave tour, with campfire stories, raccoons, bears and more rain in a rainy season. Your household or friends can come along too.
- Two new tiles beside Go to the movies, from 13: Visit the aquarium for the touch tank, the shark tunnel or the sea lion show, and Go to a game for the cheap seats, the good seats or autographs by the players' tunnel. Go alone or bring your child, a friend or your partner, and when a parent, sibling or child of yours plays pro, watch them play for free.
- A new Go to the vet tile on every pet's page from 16: a yearly check-up that halves the chance of illness and can catch a problem early, a one-time spay or neuter, and treatment whenever your pet is sick or hurt.
- Pets can now have litters: keep an unfixed boy and girl dog, cat, rabbit, guinea pig or hamster and now and then a litter arrives. Keep the runt as a new pet, find the rest good homes or sell them to the neighbors, and a spay or neuter at the vet stops it for good.
- Your pets can join group activities: they're listed after the people when you pick who's coming. A dog, mini pig or alpaca can come on Go for a walk, Have a picnic or Go camping, any pet can join house activities like Watch TV or Share a meal, and it gets its own line in the scene and comes home a little happier.
- Glasses go with every look from age 6: round or square frames, sunglasses or big shades with lenses in any color, picked in the creator, the makeover or God Mode. A school eye test can give a child their first pair, and some of the people you meet wear them too.
- Find a look by its haircut: the creator, the makeover and God Mode have a new Hair row. Tap Short, Long, Curly or Tied up and the look arrows step only through those looks, Hats and hoods can be hidden, and outfit colors and dye still work on whatever you pick.
- Gym Squad tournament wins now go into your story, and a teen with a title may meet a college scout offering a full athletic scholarship. With Fame & Fortune, a scouted athlete gets a draft-day card that puts them on a pro team as a Rookie, and a pro who retires as a Starter or higher can coach the high school team or call games on TV. From 32, a pro athlete may be asked whether it's time to hang it up.
- After high school, Part-Time Jobs now offers grown-up work: Barista, Deliver Food, Walk Dogs, Tutor, Retail Floor and Babysit, one shift a season for $2,500 to $3,500 and a little skill, with or without a career, and now and then the boss asks you to cover a rush for double pay.
- Finishing a skill project now raises its skill like a season's practice, a little more for a hit, so even a burnt dinner makes you a better cook.
- In an open relationship, dates, gifts and breakups with a lover read like everyday dating, Leave your spouse steps aside, and Make things official asks before it ends things with your partner.
- In an open relationship, a lover can become your steady with Make it steady while your partner or spouse stays, and new stories follow the three of you, from a double-booked Friday to a steady who wants more.
- Make love and hookups ask about protection only when a baby could really happen, so two men, two women or an older couple go straight to the evening, with no pregnancy scare.
- With Dreams & Degrees, a working Time Machine now opens a short story with your real family: a young ancestor at a lemonade stand, your grandparents' first dance and a visitor from the future.
- Family Planning now offers birth control: the pill or an IUD, and a vasectomy or having your tubes tied for anyone done having kids. Try for a baby stops the pill or IUD for you.
- Expecting a baby? Family Planning can now place it with another family through an open or closed adoption, and a hard pregnancy brings a counselor to offer it. An open adoption sends a birthday photo every year, and at 18 the child may write to meet you.
- When you play a man, a lover or an ex can now be expecting your baby while your partner is too, and a card asks whether to tell your partner or keep it secret. A fling's pregnancy no longer locks Try for a baby, fertility tests or surrogacy.
- After a divorce, if you took your spouse's name or hyphenated at the wedding, a card the next season asks whether to keep it or go back to your old one. An ex who took your name goes back to theirs, and the kids keep their names.
- An ex you're on good terms with again can become a friend: from 13, Ask to be friends on their page, and a yes moves them to your Friends list. The One That Got Away's Friends at Last ending now does it too.
- When an ex you were married to dies, the news names your ex-wife or ex-husband and asks whether to go to the funeral, send flowers or stay home. Your children together remember what you chose, a child still at home gets a card of their own a season later, those who lived with that parent move in with you on a card that says so, and the loss stays with you for a few seasons.
- With Fame & Fortune, Find Love adds a Members only list once you're famous or worth a million: film stars, pop singers, athletes, supermodels and heirs, their kids shown up front. Dating one brings photographers, a couple name, devoted fans and maybe a date more interested in your money.
- Find Love now shows what each grown-up is worth, and so does your partner's or lover's page, so you can marry for money.
- A single teen may realize a friend near their age is more than a friend. Admit it and their row in People reads Crush: drop a hint, leave a note, watch how they react, and ask them out once you're brave enough.
- Household activities like Share a meal list each family that lives elsewhere as one row: a tap invites a relative with their spouse and kids under 18, and starting from a relative's page brings their whole family, already picked.
- From age 2, a great-grandchild's page has Visit: read a story, look through old photographs, tell family stories or bake together, each written for their age. Great-grandchildren can now join family activities like Share a meal and Play games too.
- A grown niece or nephew you're close to may now have a baby, up to three in a life. Your new great-niece or great-nephew joins People beside the grandchildren, and a card lets you visit the baby or send a gift.
- With Nightfall, a grown human can join Mrs. Hartwell's vampire watch: a story over several years of stakeouts, false alarms and a real fang or two, and if someone in your family is a vampire, the trail ends at their door.
- With Nightfall, a grown vampire can Enthrall any adult they know who isn't a vampire: make them forget your last fight, hand over cash, be your alibi or, with Life of Crime, pull a job for you. Glamour decides whether it holds, it gets harder every time you use it on the same person, and a slip costs their trust and draws the hunters.
- Karma is now your reputation: new neighbors, classmates, coworkers and dates start out a little warmer when you're Kind and a little cooler when you're Unkind. Kind lives get asked for help, unkind ones find favors scarce, and a sorry can start to turn it around.
- Six new weekly challenges from mid-November try out what's new: a litter of puppies, a nursing career, a Gym Squad title, every part-time job, all four campsites, and a trip to the aquarium and a game with your child.
- Bankruptcy is only offered, on its notice or at the Bank, while you owe more than everything you own is worth, your home included.
- After college, Buy Properties lists the homes you can take first, so a broke graduate finds a rental with nothing to pay up front at the top of the Rent tab.
- A Werewolf Bloodline life no longer makes every later life a werewolf, and leaving a backstory in the creator takes its traits and conditions with it.
- A friend, coworker or ex who becomes your partner keeps every trait you already knew, instead of reading "Still getting to know them".
- With a partner, Sweethearts' Day offers Write Your Sweetheart a Letter, and the letter goes to them, instead of a stranger writing back as your pen pal.
- A relative's engagement party invitation comes while the engagement is news, and wedding toasts come only in the season of the wedding.
- The Baby Years, ghosts and family story endings use the right words for a daughter, a mother or a child who goes by they.
- While your heirs could still carry on, Start a new life asks first and the creator has a way back to them, and the family you leave stays in Families, so no family goes missing.
- The game no longer gets stuck on an empty town after a loading screen, a new season or a card.
- The cemetery names the dead from the character you play now, so a father you played reads Father instead of Self, and a great-grandmother reads Great-grandmother.
- A pet's goodbye comes the season it dies instead of seasons later, and pets only get the stories their bodies fit, so nobody walks a fish on a leash.
- The send-off money at 18 always shows its card, "Your parents send you off into the world with $12,000", instead of only a Journal line.
- Staff you hire now fill the Journal's Staff collection, including staff already on your payroll.
- Married at college? Ask to move in says your spouse moves in after you graduate, and they do once college is over and you have a home.
- Bring a friend to the movies always plays out the night, and the same friend, partner or lover can come along every time.
- A character you play again after passing the torch keeps the prenup they signed, so a divorce no longer takes half their money.
- Recording an album now makes an album, with its own chart peak and release, and it pays twice what its songs would as singles. Career singers record singles with the new Record a song tile.
- A child's skill goals ask for a point a year, so goals like Improve Film can finish before 13.
- Work reviews come in the season Coming up names, so promotions that need one arrive on time.
- In a big family, the People list and cards with faces open faster.
- A fortune too big to count no longer closes the game.
- Korean reads more naturally in pet, fame, theater, adoption, birth control and neighbor stories.
- While you're deployed overseas, dates, pets, parties, outings and town trips wait for your homecoming. Calls, letters home and money stay open.
- Pass the torch now says plainly that it can't be undone, and with real money it can hand your heir a tenth, a quarter or half of your cash with the keys.
- Money you give or lend family now really reaches them: it adds to what they're worth, and a loan they pay back comes out of it.
- Celebrate birthday is back for kids 1 to 12, under Parties and events on People › Friends.
- A new werewolf can now learn Instinct and join the pack, Go on an outing shows only on the pages of pets that can come along, and a wedding toast comes right after the wedding instead of a year later.
- Organize an Event now has Never mind and Back, heights no longer change when a spouse's parents turn up, and if you marry while still living in your family home, your spouse's page shows how to live together.
- A young child asking for money no longer sees money that never arrives, the Journal's story endings use your child's pronouns, aunts and uncles sit under your grandparents in the family tree, and Pet Breeds shows each breed's own name and picture and only the breeds you've really had.
A new look
- Hold Next Season to skip ahead anywhere from two seasons to ten years. Skipped seasons bring only your news and big moments, and no new stories start until you land.
- Your energy now shows at the top of People, World, Growth, Journal and every page you open, so you can count what's left without going back to Life.
- The Journal's Goals page has a notes box for your own plans. Each family keeps its own notes, your heir picks them up, and after three or more days away they greet you on a welcome-back card.
- Gray hair now turns a true silver that follows your natural color: blonde and ginger go snowy white, brown goes silver and dark hair goes pewter, instead of everyone turning the same icy blue.
- Projects that need a name, like a podcast, a novel or an album, now open with one that fits what you're making, and a die beside the name rolls another.
- Your Story in the Journal now remembers the story cards you answer, with their picture and what you chose, for your whole life. Tap one to see how it ended. Relationship ups and downs still pop up but no longer crowd the list.
- Settings now opens with the game's version and links to our Discord, X, TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
- From 18, the makeover has a Face section: pick new eyes, a nose, lips or freckles and book them at the cosmetic clinic, priced per part like fillers, a nose job or Botox.
- The world map's town card says what kind of place a town is and what it costs to live there, like "Beach town · High cost of living", and the creator's town postcard names the kind too.
- Buy Properties shows each home's bedrooms under its name.
- Settings › Play has a Fading friendship notices switch: turn it off and friendships still fade at high Chaos, just without a notice every season.
- The creator's Randomize everything die rolls a backstory too: usually Open life, sometimes one you own that fits your age.
- World has a search box: type any action or place, like move, gym or loan, and tap what it finds to open or do it.
- Homes & Moving now sits right under your home on World › Home, and Loans stands beside the Bank on Money. Pets, roommates and the Staffing Agency live only on People › Household, Family Planning and Adoption on People › Family, and Audition, stand-up, roasts and Perform live on Fun › Entertainment.
- Life shows Lately right under the season's picks, a graduate's School band takes one line, and the Money band reads as cash and take-home pay.

Witching Hour
- Witching Hour is out: become a witch, practice magic three ways, trace glowing sigils to cast 47 spells, buy spellbooks at the Crooked Market, join a coven, bind a familiar and summon a devil to write your own contract. Buy it on its own or in the Complete Collection.
- Already own the Complete Collection? Witching Hour unlocks the first time you open the game after this update.
- Start as a witch from the creator's Witch lineage (Pure, Mixed or Inert) or the Hidden Witch backstory. Two witch parents always pass the gift on; one passes it half the time.

- All Hallows' Eve may bring a small visitor to a witch's door.
- Crown & Court is still coming soon.
- Three new Game Center achievements for witches.
Your Room
- Every life now has a room of its own, on World › Home. Pick the bed, lamp, rug, walls and more from 14 styles, and paint any piece any of 41 colors.
- The room fills in from your life: your town outside the window, your family in the frames, what you've earned on the shelf, your pet on the rug, and holiday decorations after you celebrate.
- A lamp's glow now comes from the lamp you placed. New Lights switches can turn your lamp off for even light, or let fairy lights and other string lights fill the room with a soft glow.

- A bigger God Mode: money to the dollar, romance, Karma and a new Miracles page.
- Set your money to the dollar in Stats & wealth: type any amount, even a debt. Under 18, set your family's money.
- Clear every debt at once: loans forgiven, Collectors gone, bankruptcy over.

- Choose who you're attracted to, and date, get engaged to or marry anyone who isn't family, or break it off.
- Set any grown-up's net worth, which is what they leave behind.
- New Miracles page: refill your energy, walk free, clean your record, or make everyone adore you.

- Stats & wealth shows Wealth and Work again, and setting Wealth changes your money.
- Typing in God Mode no longer freezes or hides the page behind the keyboard.

- Many more God Mode fixes: edits keep the rest of your life in step, from school and jobs to health, family and money.
Fixes
- Everlife 2 runs faster and smoother: taps, answers and Next Season no longer stall, the season and time of day change more smoothly, the world map no longer stutters with a town open, switching families is nearly instant, the game loads sooner, and idle screens use less battery.
- Fixed a freeze that could lock the game for good when you tapped a tab again while on one of its pages, like Growth on a skill or World in the Pet Shop.
- Fixed a rare freeze that could stop the game on a card, a tile or a page.
- Fixed crashes on iPhone and iPad when the game opens with a card waiting, when a card first appears and when you age up.
- Fixed a crash on Macs with macOS 15, and on older iPhones and iPads, when a menu or sheet opened, like selling a house, treating a friend or choosing a goal.
- Passing the torch opens Who carries on? again, so your heir takes over instead of a blank screen.

- Babies and kids no longer see a second, locked copy of actions like Take a bath beside the one they can use.
- Choice menus lock the options you don't qualify for again, so a character who isn't married can't get divorced in a midlife crisis.
- Greyed-out tiles say what they need, like "Needs $12,000" on a dorm you can't afford, and vehicle projects in Mechanics wait until you have a car.
- Long holiday cards keep their picture answers in full view, and the whole answer takes the tap.
- Cards charge real prices instead of a share of your pay, so a rich life no longer pays thousands for a holiday card, and investment payouts and Collectors no longer show up on an unrelated card.
- Pay arrives every season with your bills, so the yearly payday card that added no money is gone.
- Declaring bankruptcy from its notice clears your debts right away instead of a season later.
- Family loans pay your relative back, homes and cars bought on credit settle their loans, and bankruptcy keeps the right things.
- Missing a payment plan twice now brings in the Collectors, instead of a new plan holding them off forever.
- Trips and the cosmetic clinic check that you can afford them first, and a car you lease leaves the lot.
- The Money tab now counts world events like epidemic pay and drought prices, and graves list the events each life lived through.
- Leases, the family home, housemates, renovation and staff now do what their cards say.
- Firing staff works again: their page shows the Fire button, and their wages stop.
- Letting staff go from the Staffing Agency asks first.
- College no longer drains your money: room and board is covered by a full scholarship, shared by your parents, or added to your student loan, which waits until you graduate.
- After you're accepted to college, the School page shows your college and when classes start, and the Career page says why jobs are locked.
- A graduate whose high-school grades went missing gets them back, so colleges stop rejecting everyone.
- After a promotion your yearly raises keep coming, and retirees can look for work again.

- Every birth plays the delivery and lets you name the baby, however many children you already have.
- Winning custody of a baby no longer moves the baby's other parent into your home.

- The family tree no longer shows parents who split up as married, and a stepparent and their kids stay beside the rest of the family.
- Feeding, changing and soothing a baby no longer lowers their well-being when it goes badly, and bedtime stories, homework help and time together now raise it.

- Sick-kid, holiday and parenting stories leave out children who live with your ex, at boarding school or in care.

- Parentless starts like Orphan and Raised by Grandparents show the parents you grow up without, and no longer open with death notices, a year of grief or a card about them.
- Changing your stats in the creator, in God Mode or by rolling them with the Orphan backstory, no longer greys out Start my life.
- Weekly challenges start even with Vampirism among your starting conditions, and leaving one in the creator drops its backstory, so the age slider moves again.
- A new family now starts at generation 1 instead of 3, and its creator has a Families button back to your other families.
- The creator no longer offers Menopause to a male character, and a pet's name sticks even if you don't press Return.
- After transitioning, the Life tab shows your character's gender instead of the sex they were born with.
- Characters who go by they/them read as they/them on cards, and a look you chose no longer resets to the default.
- Coming out starts with a card that says what your character has realized before asking who to tell.
- On small screens the Life tab reads in full on an iPhone SE and fits in landscape.

- Menus, long-press menus and confirmations are now Everlife cards instead of system pop-ups.
- Each stat tile has its own color, so Health, Happiness, Popularity and Grades are easy to tell apart and their levels easy to read.
- Life's season card drops the Surprise Me and Next Year buttons, and Next Season on the tab bar pulses, faster and brighter as your energy runs low.

02Patch 2.0264 notes
A new way to play
- Each season you get energy to spend on as many actions as it covers. Tap Next Season when you're done.
- Prefer the old pace? Classic mode in Settings turns energy off and brings back one action a season.
- The new Chaos slider sets how dramatic life gets, from Calm to Wild, and how often random events strike.
- Each action works once a season, or once per person, so you can compliment Mom and still hang out with her.
- Stats move at a steadier pace: everyday moments shift them a little, and only big events swing them hard.
- Stories are paced: anything that can wait moves to a quieter season, two random scenarios a year land in your quietest seasons and none when you tap Next Year, and at most two pop-ups come a season.
- Stories repeat less, and an heir meets the stories the family hasn't lived yet.
- Nearly 70 new storylines play out over seasons and years, across every stage of life.
- Journal › Story tracks each storyline chapter by chapter, and keeps the endings of the ones you've finished.
- A new life starts quietly: the tutorial, your first card, then a first season that's yours to explore.
A new look
- Five tabs: World, People, Life, Growth and Journal, with Life in the middle. Swipe between them, and every action has one home.
- The Life tab is your home screen: your portrait and stats in the sky, the season's picks, then your whole life on one sheet.
- Your town is the backdrop now, alive with day and night, the seasons and the weather. It replaces the background themes.
- Cards are redesigned: the answers sit underneath, so tap one or swipe toward it, and every change flies to where it belongs.
- Over 2,500 cards, actions and menus have pictures of their own, and when someone talks, you see who's speaking.
- Locked tiles explain themselves: tap one to see what you need, right where you are.
- Portraits breathe and blink, achievements throw confetti, and seasons change with birthday balloons and New Year fireworks.
- Optional cutscenes for life's big moments: a birth, graduations, a wedding, a first child and retirement.
- Cutscenes are now full painted scenes with your family standing in them, and five new ones mark your first love, your engagement, your first car, your first pet and your first job.
- A new app icon, a new loading screen, and a world map that lights up its towns at night.
Settings, sound and languages
- Settings is redesigned in six tabs, and every switch says what it does.
- Separate volumes for music, sound effects, ambience and story jingles, plus haptics set to Off, Soft or Full.
- Letter voices: each letter speaks as it types, in Everlife 2's voice or seven cute new ones.
- Your town has its own sounds, from waves and wind to birds and rain, and money lands with a cha-ching or a crash.
- Day, Night or Auto: Night turns your town and every screen to night.
- Turn off vampires, werewolves, crime or God Mode. They stop finding you, and anything you start yourself still works.
- Animation speed comes in three styles: Default, Fast and Super.
- Play in four new languages: Vietnamese, Thai, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. Everything is translated into all 13.
- The Game Guide is rewritten for today's game and searchable, and the ? on a page header opens the right article.
- Save slots: keep several families going and switch between them in Settings › Data › Families.
- Hold your iPhone sideways for a two-column layout. iPad plays in landscape too.
- On a Mac or an iPad held sideways, the Life tab sets the season beside your profile, spread across two or three columns, and the Shop shows all eight expansions in one row.
- The rest of the game fits wide screens too: pages with a summary set it beside their activities, Settings lists its sections down the side, People shows a person beside the list, and the character creator opens in two panes.
- Text grows with your device's text size, and VoiceOver reads more of the game.
- VoiceOver works across the whole game: a two-finger scrub goes back or closes, the creator's colors and face parts change with a swipe up or down, and each stat says its full name and how full it is.
- Swipe left or right to move between sections in Settings, World, People and Journal. Settings and God Mode's Traits & conditions are now one page you can scroll straight through, with the tabs as shortcuts.
- Graphics tune themselves to your device, and the game is much smaller and opens faster.
- Settings › Help › Follow Us has Evermyth, our new game: a god life sim from the same creator, set in Everlife's universe.
Weekly challenges
- A new challenge every Monday, the same for everyone: a set start and one goal, all in the free game. Start it from Families, the creator or the Journal.
- Finish one for 500 Fate (200 more for the bonus), see every week you've played in Journal › Achievements, and earn five new achievements along the way.
Share your life
- When a life ends, share its tombstone and story as a picture for your feed or your story.
- Share the big moments too: weddings, babies, graduations, achievements, a finished challenge, your dynasty, your family tree, your Town Passport and your new Self.
- Every picture is drawn in the game's art with the Everlife 2 logo, in your language.
iCloud sync
- Your families, Fate and achievements now follow you across iPhone, iPad and Mac.
- Played the same family on two devices? You pick which save to keep, and the other is kept as a backup.
- Settings › Data has an iCloud Sync switch with its status and a Sync now button.
Game Center
- 77 achievements unlock as you play, including ones you've already earned, with progress on the long ones.
- Seven leaderboards: longest dynasty, most generations, richest Self, oldest age, biggest brood, weekly challenges, and a weekly richest board.
- Find Game Center in Settings › Play and on the Journal's Achievements page.
On the Mac
- A full menu bar with every tab and season command, Esc to go back, number and arrow keys for every card, a gold hover glow, right-click to favorite, and tooltips.
- Wide Mac windows show your stats and your life log beside the game, and the window remembers its size, place and full screen.
- On an iPad keyboard, 1 and 2 answer two-choice cards and the arrow keys move between answers.
Create your life
- Start a life at any age from 0 to 70. You begin where someone that age would be: in school, graduated, or with a job and a home.
- From 18 you can start married, with children whose ages fit yours.
- Choose how your family begins: two parents, two moms or two dads, one parent, or a blended family with a stepparent.
- Pick your parents' ages, your older and younger siblings and a family pet, or flip the Twin switch to be born a twin.
- See which conditions run in your family, and leave out any of them.
- Pick any trait or condition without discovering it first. A condition that starts later in life waits until you're old enough.
- Play as a woman, a man, nonbinary or agender, with she, he or they, and pick who you're attracted to.
- No more pop-up asking who you're attracted to: you're straight unless you pick otherwise, and Change Sexuality on the Love page changes it anytime.
- 26 new face parts and five new skin tones.
- One shared palette of 66 soft colors, in families of three, for outfits, accessories, hair dye and car paint.
- Seven new natural hair colors, from auburn and platinum to chestnut and espresso, passed down in families like the rest.
- Everyone has a height now. Kids take after their parents, and Settings shows it in feet or centimeters.
- What Create your life hands you no longer earns achievements or Fate. Earn those in play.
Backstories
- 16 backstories, each with its own challenge and Fate reward, from Silver Spoon and Born With Nothing to Prodigy and Miracle Child.
- Your backstory comes back later in life with three stories of its own.
- Raised by Grandparents: your parents are gone, and a grandparent raises you.
- Newcomers: start life in a new country, learn the language and become a citizen.
- Orphan: grow up in a children's home, and maybe a family will choose you.
- Pack backstories: Vampire Bloodline and Werewolf Bloodline with Nightfall, Child Star with Fame & Fortune, Crime Family with Life of Crime, and First in the Family with Dreams & Degrees.
Traits and identity
- Traits come in 22 opposite pairs where both ends are worth playing, like Workaholic and Slacker or Zen and Dramatic.
- Ten new traits: Awkward, Gullible, Serious, Offline, Wallflower, Wholesome, Impatient, Hardy, Picky Eater and Outdoorsy.
- Everyone has traits now: babies have one, children two, teens and adults three. Kids take after their parents.
- Habits shape you: keep doing something for years and you earn its trait, or turn a trait into its opposite.
- People act like their traits: a Romantic partner plans the date, and a Funny friend can't keep a straight face.
- Tap a trait to see exactly what it does.
- Come out to family and friends when you're ready. Each reacts in their own way, and many come around.
- Trans characters: start your life trans, or explore your gender in play and transition at your own pace.
- From 13, change your gender identity or pronouns whenever you like.
Growing up
- Every card fits the youngest person who can see it, so kids get their own versions of grown-up stories.
- No friends before age 6. The kids on your street are your age and grow up alongside you.
- 15 new childhood stories, from the class hamster to the school play, and 24 that change with your family's money.
- Puberty, acne and menopause bring short choice moments of their own.
- Some children have an imaginary friend who comes back years later.

- A hard childhood leaves marks, and you can choose to do it differently as a parent.
School and college
- A teacher follows you through school, and there's an honor roll and a first part-time job.
- Perform at school: act, sing or dance, and your skill decides how the show goes.
- Join the Cheer Squad, and every club's year brings a competition, a bake sale and a trip.
- Bullying follows Popularity: unpopular kids get picked on, and popular kids choose to join in or step in.
- Failing grades bring trouble at home: a study plan, a tutor or being grounded. From 14 you can repeat a year.
- Students with ADD, ADHD, dyslexia or autism can ask for school accommodations.
- Every college major has its own story, and a junior-year internship counts as work experience.
- Twenty college clubs: one for every skill, plus an honor society.
- Study abroad is a real semester away, and someone you meet there can follow you home.
- College is paid for by scholarships first, then your parents, then a student loan.
- Your transcript is color-coded by grade, and every degree opens its own framed diploma.
Work and careers
- Pay follows real-world careers and ranks, in real dollars.
- Every job has a named boss and a work rival, with stories that follow you from job to job.
- Yearly reviews: push for a promotion, ask for a raise or ask for flexibility. Slack off and you can be demoted or laid off.
- Your job teaches its skill only partway. Practice does the rest.
- Headhunters, sabbaticals, early retirement offers, and pensions that grow with every year you worked.
- Fame, a relative high up, or your fraternity or sorority can skip the interview and start you higher.
- Filter job openings by field, and Shuffle for a fresh list.
- Put in a word to get a relative hired where you work.
- Three new stories for every career, and new stories for every pack career.
- Every holiday has a paid gig, from the mall Giftbringer to the haunted house.
- Military careers can deploy for a year, then come home to life as a veteran.
- Becoming famous is your choice now: step into the spotlight or stay private.
- Retirees can go back to work.
Skills, projects and goals
- Skills grow slower and steadier, so mastering one takes real dedication.
- At 75, each skill brings an offer: teach a class, mentor a kid or take a side gig. At 100, a mastery story and a lasting perk.
- Friends and relatives who are good at their jobs may offer to teach you.
- Project pay follows your skill and effort, big hits pay royalties, and a hit app or invention stays yours to sell.
- Projects in progress show their odds of success.
- Skill, project, promotion and friend goals now come in Easy, Medium and Hard, and harder ones pay more Fate. Pick a focus in Journal › Goals to see its goals first. Life goals and one-tap goals are gone.
- 33 long-haul achievements, from a 5,000-year dynasty to playing the 50th generation, plus collector and one-life feats.
- Achievements that count something show your progress, like 82/100.
- 67 more achievements and 26 new goals for everything new: money and homes, careers and school, health, family, legacy, the packs and travel.
Money

- Staff help all year, and drivers, gardeners and housekeepers join them. A contractor keeps your homes in shape.

07Patch 1.01 note
Hi,
I’m Phil, the solo dev behind E1 and E2. Six years ago, I started making Everlife, the life sim I’d always wanted to play. Within months of launch, it had over a million downloads.
Then you started sharing your ideas on Discord, and I wanted to make them happen. So I did! More than fifty free updates later, there’s still nothing better than adding one of your suggestions and getting to reply, “Coming in the next update!” So swing by our Discord or say hi on your favorite social network and tell me what you’d love to see next.
Everlife 2 is much closer to the game I originally imagined. It took a lot of learning and hard work to get here, and I’m so excited for you to explore the new content, mechanics, and systems I’ve built. And rest assured, I’ve got many free updates and expansions planned, too.
Whether you’ve been here for six years or six seconds, thank you for being part of this. If you’re having fun, please tell a friend, share a screenshot, or leave a five-star review. It makes a HUGE difference!
Thanks again, and have fun!
With love,
Phil
